Pretty Paper Studio Challenge #2 - Create a NO-PHOTO layout
Hello everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous time.
I do! And you should know the reason why...
Pretty Paper Studio is stirring up a fabulous challenge for you.
Challenge # 2 is to create a NO-PHOTO scrapbook page/ layout!
Subject or theme for your page/ layout can be anything and any size.
But remember without any photos in it, only journaling and embellishments.
Here is an inspiration for you on this challenge.
I punch around the page 10 1/4in x 10 1/4in kraft cardstock.
Distress the sides a bit. Added lace around and attached
to Hello Luscious - Honeyed pattern paper from Basic Grey.
I made pocket style tags from MME (Vanity Fair & A Beautiful Life)
pattern paper to attached my computer print-out journals
pattern paper to attached my computer print-out journals
and stick it sideways on the page.
My title itself in this layout speaks about
what's up with me this February on different topics.
Added embellishments and my layout is done!!!

Double Page Layout {Shine Your Light}
Hi, I hope
everyone is having a fabulous time.
Today I’m sharing a double page layout. The
layout was inspired from a sketch by Shimelle.
Got this layout from Neelu
from Creating Memories, I thank her for sending me the sketch/es. I created this layout pages a few
days before Christmas but was not able to share it until now. But it's never too late to
share anything we’ve created, right? And looking forward to inspire someone out there.
Anyway, I
love sketches. It is a good starting point for any projects and brilliant for
those times when a little inspiration is needed. Sketches don’t have to be
followed all the way. A portion can be taken to create a focal point or shapes
can be changed. It can easily be modified, rotated, mirrored for making cards,
tags, scrapbook layouts or projects.
Here is the first page of the layout …
And the second page…
The quote is:
True HAPPINESS comes from the joy of deeds well done,
the zest of CREATING things new.
Antoine de Saint-Exupery
And the double page layout...
Shine Your Light
Ever wonder
if there is any journaling spot in this LO? Well, yes there is! Can guess where it is…any clue? Where else could it be! Just behind those flowers up there…
I have taken these photos before I wrote my journals on it. I thought I’ll share it that way instead of taking another shots
today before posting this. Lol kinda shy a bit.
By the way,
I also want to acknowledge a very good friend, Mr. Samuel Mars Sagario who took these beautiful photos
that I’m still using until now in my profiles. Hmmnn...need new photos. Do visit his website here.
So what are you waiting for! Be inspired and u-create.
cheers,
irene

Mini Album: Olga
Hi everyone!
Today, I would like to share the pages of Olga's mini album which I have posted a few days back. This was my first attempt in making a mini album. I have made this as a birthday gift to friend. Made it overnight and gave it the next day.
The inspiration in making this mini album came from a video tutorial I found from YouTube by Laura Denison from The Paper Trail. I love all her projects.
This is a pouch mini album and very easy to make, find the instructions following The Paper Trail here.
I hope this will inspire you to make a mini album. And those who have not done this style of album pages, give it a try. You can make as many pages you like, just adjust the size of binding rings and give extra breathing room for all embellishments. Attach your photos to pages and tag inserts.
I was not able to take photos of the small journaling tags as well the big tag inserts (which was not done at the time I took these photos).
That's all for now and will share with you the pages of other minis next time.
I hope you like it and thanks a bunch for stopping by.
Would love to hear from you.
cheers,
irene

Mini Albums
I love mini albums...it can tell a lot of stories and hold lots of photos. Well, that depends on the size, number of pages and tags the album has.
I finally went through my piles of photos (YAY got a lot scrap) in search of the mini albums i made {and given away} just before i started this blog. Thought I should share it with everyone....
This one was put together using Bind-it-All and decorated the o-wire with ribbons.
These mini albums are 6x6 inches in size.
Also this one was put together using Bind-it-All with an album size of 4X5 inches. Used 5 multicolor envelopes and each has a tag insert.

An Elegant Flourished Heart {You Complete Me}
Hi
everyone!
I was so delighted with the Easel Card with Pocket and Tags
as it
made to Top 3 at Beyond Grey Challenges.
I hope it inspires you to make
one.
And today I’ve got
something elegantly flourish and to “die” for!
Oh Romeo and Juliet…
Why is it to die for? Well, as I don’t have a heart shape
die,
so I used Tim Holtz Alterations Elegant Flourishes die to create the heart
in this card.
Cutting out a heart shape would have been so simple and easy
but
I wanted something special and “lovely”. I just love how it turns out!
I also
used acetate in the middle front of the card
(which becomes quite a challenge
when taking the photos),
punch some borders and hang the heart to make it look
like it’s in the air!!!
Love is in
the air…
It is only so fitting to use for this card the
Kissing Booth
collection from Basic Grey called lip gloss.
I have printed the sentiment directly into the pattern
paper.
You Complete Me?!
Yes, yes, yes! The die did it!
When 2 die
flourishes kept facing it with each other it completes into a heart.
And that’s
another use for this die too! Create it if you have one.
Did some dry embossing for added texture at the top and
bottom
of the sentiments using only the bottom frame of
Sizzix Embossing Folder
Ornate Frame Heart & Vines and then sand it.
Finished it off with a heart
charm and rhinestones.
You Complete Me
An Elegant Flourished Heart
A quick and simple card yet elegant on its own!
I hope you
feel the love…
